Genealogy - Aramaic - English New Testament will be used.
Ruth mentioned first then Maryam the mother of Yeshua...we need a general understanding of Old Testament which I will also include.
Ruth, a Moabitess , was the widow of the house of Yehuda, she married Boaz, of the house of Yehuda, who was of the bloodlines of Yehuda and Tammar mentioned in Ge 38:12-30 Her mother-in-law Naomi, also lost her husband and went back to Beth-lehem to be with her people, the family had gone to Moab because of famine. Ruth was from Moab, where they had other gods, she however chose to stay with Naomi and claimed Naomi's God to be her God traveling back to Bethlehem.
Twins were born of the union of Yehuda and Tammar his daughter-in-law a widow.
Genesis 38:29-30 And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez. And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.
Ruth choosing to go with Naomi and said her God to be her God:
Ruth 1:16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
Maryam, it is thought that she might have been from the house of Levi because of the relationship with her cousin...there has been some information found on this online.
Tribes had an inheritance of land from the Lord. With Yeshua, people were to be priests and kings. God of course wanted the same in the beginning also..but the people didn't want to hear his voice.
Exodus 19:5-6 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
The people didn't want to hear God:
Exodus 20:19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
So God chose the Levites of the tribes to be priests to Him.
Priests in the Old Testament was the tribe of Levi, their inheritance was God not land Nu 18:20. God chose the Levites above all the tribes and other than the firstborns. Nu 3:1. God offered these things also to the stranger Ex 12:48 Eze 47:23. This of course a timeline for the Prophets as to when each chapter was written is helpful. I used to have a good one now can't find but full book dating.
Then of course we had Maryam and house of Yehuda was Yoseph,...this placed Yeshua within the house of Yehuda. Maryam we are told she became pregnant by The Spirit of Holiness it is called in Aramaic.
